Mystery reader update

I'm really sorry for the lack of new posts lately. I've been under some tight deadlines with work, and I just haven't had the time lately. Here is an update from my mystery reader with some neat links. I'll try to get some new properties up in the next day or two.

Anyway, here are mystery reader's links:

Market Crash, Lenar issues profit warning, Real Estate brokers going bankrupt.

Real estate inventory reduction? Hardly!

John Edwards, who was the Democratic vice presidential candidate in 2004, has sold his home in Georgetown for $5.2 million, The Associated Press reported. Edwards, who has announced that that he is running for president in 2008, had purchased the home for $3.8 million in 2002 and "extensively renovated it," according to the report. Edwards and his family last year moved to North Carolina to live in a new home built on a 100-acre estate in Chapel Hill.
The Washington Post reported that the four-story Georgetown home, built in 1830, was put on the market with a list price of $6.5 million in May 2005.

Danville Illinois has decided to withhold sales data from the NAR.

People have overborrowed to the point of insanity.

On a year over year basis, 27.4% of sales were vacant during 2004 vs 36.4% in 2005 and 44.5% in 2006 thru Dec 22nd, the last day that I downloaded data for the study. For the first 22 days of Dec 06, 50.5% of the 1,393 sales were vacant.

Housing Realism enters Mainstream Media.

That is all, I'll get you guys another house to look at pretty soon here. Have a Happy New Year!
